crickedle strategy guide

A few tips to keep your streak alive across all six modes.

Guess the Cricketer

Open with a well-travelled all-rounder — someone with a clear nationality, role and a known bowling style. The yellow tiles are the gold: a yellow nationality means the same continent, a yellow role means a related role (a wicket-keeper is “close” to a batter), and a yellow bowling tile means the same family (any pace, or any spin). Use the age arrows to bracket the answer's birth year quickly.

Cricket Grid

Fill the cells you're most sure of first, and remember each player can only be used once — so don't “spend” a superstar who fits three cells on the easiest one. Think about players who moved between franchises; they unlock team×team and team×honour intersections.

Career Trail & Playing XI

In Career Trail, the first stop is usually a national debut — that pins the country immediately. In Playing XI, the flag mix is the tell: an IPL franchise blends Indian players with a few overseas stars, while a national side is a single flag and you lean on the roles and the captain hint.

Ground Spotter & Odd One Out

For grounds, the architecture and stands are clues before the hints even start; capacity narrows it fast (six-figure capacity is a very short list). For Odd One Out, look past nationality — the shared trait is often a role, a batting hand or a trophy.
