What is crickedle?
crickedle is a free, browser-based daily guessing game about cricket, in the spirit of the daily word-and-trivia games you already know — but built entirely around bat and ball. Every day at midnight IST the six modes each get a fresh puzzle: a mystery cricketer to deduce, a 3×3 grid to fill, a career path to trace, a ground to recognise, a starting eleven to place and an odd one out to spot. Everyone in the world plays the same puzzles on the same day, so you can compare your score with friends without spoiling the answer.
The player pool spans the modern international game and the big franchise leagues: the IPL, the Big Bash, and the current squads of the twelve major Test-playing nations. Whether your heroes are Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, English or Australian, they're in the game — and the puzzles reward exactly the kind of knowledge a real fan carries around: who bats left-handed, who bowls leg-spin, which ground has the mountain behind it, which XI has that many overseas flags.
There is no losing screen and no daily lock-out shame. If today's cricketer takes you eleven guesses, that's eleven small clues you got to reason about — the game is designed so every wrong guess teaches you something via colour-coded feedback or a fresh hint. When you solve a puzzle you can share a spoiler-free emoji summary and see how your attempt count compares with the community's distribution.
